The Brief

Using the existing footprint of an old conservatory, we were asked to help transform our customers usuable space into an area which could be fully incorporated into the home. The newly created area needed to be used all year round. Spaces for dining, relaxing and entertaining were “red line” aspects for our customer and incorporating these requirements in the design would be key to its success.

Using Rococo’s bespoke roofing solution, we were able to create a modern orangery with mutiple usage areas, which connects seamlessly to the garden.

The catylst for the segmentation was delivered using dual aluminium lantern roofs. These helped provide an invisible divide in the room, cleverly zoning the footprint without the need of a hard barrier. 

Installing aluminium bi folding doors on multiple elevations, ensured the modern orangery extension could be accessed from all sides of the garden. Using bi folding doors enabled the orangery to connect and incorporate the multiple usage areas of the garden and link them back into the orangery. 

When the bi folding doors are fully opened, the continuation of exterior and interior furnishings, as well as the dark grey slim line aluminium profile helped merge the line between the internal and external façade. This deliveries either a continuation of the living space into the  garden when opened up whilst allowing the garden to come into the living space when closed.

Design and Service

Rococo provided our customers with a full design and build service. Using our CAD design expertise we were able to create various options for the customer and present them in stunning visuals. This ensured the final design met their exact requirements.

Once designed, our delivery team took over and provided a fully managed project. We liaised and co ordinated all trades, provided extra detailed drawings where required and managed all external professional services such as; planning permissions, structural engineers and building control.
