Traditional Orangery
Lounge and Living Extension Orangery in Romsey, Hampshire

The Rococo solution

Rococo built this 3 x 4 m lounge extension in Hampshire using their highly regarded orangery solution. Our client’s key focus was to develop more space in the lounge for entertaining and living, however it was vital that this space be light, stylish, functional and most importantly ensure that it felt like an extension of the room and home.

Rococo’s Orangery solutions are fully compliant with building regulations, so we were able to remove the current rear wall and knock though into their lounge and then build off the back of the house to start to create the additional space that was required.

To ensure the warmth and energy efficiency of the space, additional insulation is packed into the base, the walls and all around the atrium roof.

Key features such as the internal atrium with central lantern and brick pillars maintain the sense of this build being an extension of the property opposed from a conservatory or a garden room. The added use of high end materials, such as Storm Evolution windows and French doors, help modernise the property whilst staying true to its traditional style. This case study is a further example of how an orangery can add significant value to a property.
