New front bays and a side extension were installed by Chapmans Builders before an overhaul of the property’s windows ensued. Together these projects helped carefully move the building away from its 1970s heritage and introduce a modern feel, albeit one with a considered nod to the past.

It was key for the customer to select a luxury window product that would not only enhance the home’s functionality but at the same time increase its thermal performance and security. Bringing out its undoubted character and charm was also going to be important.

Storm 2 windows, a timber alternative product by Evolution, was selected for its joinery timber window aesthetic and the welcome bonus of no ongoing maintenance costs.

With so many windows across the property, it was key to strike a balance and ensure there would be no future worries about painting and maintenance costs.

Rococo were heavily involved throughout the design process, producing a series of photoshopped images that illustrated the various design options available. Through a series of meetings, we were able to explore various configuration options, as well as the popular Georgian bar layout.

This input helped the client visualise a potential outcome and make decisions with increased confidence. They proved to be correct ones.
